Dutch Course for Beginners

Course description

This course will start on Tuesday September 10th 2024 with the last class on Tuesday January 21st and the final exam on January 28th. You will have one class of two hours per week on Tuesday evenings from 19.00 to 21.00. This offline course covers the basics of learning the Dutch language. You will develop all relevant skills: writing, reading, listening, speaking, grammar and vocabulary. We use a flipped classroom approach, meaning you prepare by reading about the important topics and make 3-4 hours of homework per class. Time in class is used to actively practice with the topics and to provide a more in-depth explanation on grammar. A minimum effort is required to pass the course: → Make three to four hours of homework per class. → Miss no more than three classes. → Make all writing assignments and pass the final test. You will need to order the book 'Nederlands in Gang' from Coutinho separately. We will cover the first 9 chapters in the A1 course and the second 9 chapters in an optional follow-up A2 course. This course is set up as an offline course. Please read our terms and services carefully. Some of the most important points: → If you choose to pay in installments, you take out a loan with International Center. If you are unable to finish the course, you are still obligated to fulfil the payments. → Refunds cannot be provided in case this course's format changes due to force majeur. → We have a refund/cancellation policy, please read it carefully before booking so you are properly informed. → The course fee excludes the book of Coutinho that we use during class.
